How many of you don’t do that internet stuff?
I always find it interesting when someone in our business boasts that they don’t do that internet stuff. They sometimes seem proud of the fact that they have avoided the temptation to try anything new and learn how to surf the internet or send and receive emails and or text messages. Many times they say I am too old to learn that stuff now. They are steadfast in the belief that they will never give in and learn what it is all about.
Do any of them actually think that the internet usage will decline over the next few years so that if they learn something now it will not be needed in the future? Or do they think that others will somehow have to do things differently to accommodate their lack of involvement with current technology.
Now put yourself in the place of a person around 30 years old who has grown up using the internet, my space, face book, email, texting, smart phones, etc. They can find a tremendous amount of information on the internet both easily and quickly. They have no use for phone books or yellow pages that their parents used to use. Now as this 30 year old if you went to the web to find a cleaners because you are in a new area and need some cleaning done, you probably will chose a cleaners from one of the first 4 to 6 internet listings in the area. You will look for the listings that have web sites listed so you can learn more about your possible choices quicker. Within a few minutes you will have determined who will get your cleaning and your money!
Do you still think that you don’t need a web site? How long can you stay in business falling further behind customer’s needs and wants year after year? Your attitude is costing you big money!

Many companies offer web sites but I doubt you will find someone who was a dry cleaner and knows the business and can put a first class site together for you for anywhere close to $75.
